If you're new to the world of chess, please read the following tips:

Chess Piece Movements:

• - The pawn moves forward one grid cell, or two cells on its first move. It captures diagonally by moving one field forward.
• - The king can move one square in any vertical, horizontal, or diagonal direction.
• - The queen has the freedom to move in all directions.
• - The rook can move any distance vertically or horizontally.
• - The knight moves two fields along the vertical and one field horizontally, or one field vertically and two fields horizontally.
• - The bishop can move any distance diagonally.

Important Game Situations:

• - Check: A position in chess where a king is under immediate attack by the opponent's pieces.
• - Checkmate: An attack on the king that you or your opponent cannot escape.
• - Stalemate (Draw): A position in which one player is unable to move, but their king is not being attacked.

The goal of the game is to checkmate the opponent's king.

Two special moves in chess:
